Organization/Company Objectives & Benefits: From this mini project the company can not really benefit from this information, we came up with this project to educate other people about the abuse of drugs and alcohol.
Schedule: Monday-Tuesday 8:00- 4:30 Wednesday-Thursday, Sunday  12:00- 8:00
Academic Skills: The only academic skill that I can think of would be writing
Technical Skills: researching
Collaboration—Skills and Opportunities: throughout my internship I have the opportunity of being exposed to drugs and alcohol in the emergency room.
Exhibition Plans: We are still trying to figure out because my site is always busy and it would be hard to have a POL there.
Schedule & Timelines: whenever I get the chance between following Dr. Evans around. this project is not a must do project. Since I do work in the Emergency room I do have the opportunity to be able to experience what Emergency doctors are able to experience, so we try to spend most of my valuable time on the floor visiting patients  rather than being stuck in a office doing research and paper work.

My week.

I have to start off with i love my internship and it really makes me want to become a doctor just so I can live like this everyday. This week I started off organizing dictations for about an hour and the I went off to the Emergency floor, where all the action is. this week I watched my mentor put stitches in this older mans head. The older man was hit by a surfboard, and the surfboard made a deep cut in his forehead. So my mentor first sowed the tissue back together and then stitched the skin back. While I was there this week I was surprised by the fact the most people in the emergency room are older people over the age of 65. I was also surprised by the fact they have a lot of free food, I know that does not really have anything to do with my internship, but i think it is interesting and a neat little fun fact. The people I usually work with are Dr. Evans my mentor, and Ms. Claudia Casco who is also like my mentor. These to people are the nicest people on earth, they actually care about me and treat me as if I was actually working at the hospital.
