Dr. Evans and I in the Trauma room, where patients are sent for serious cases such as, car accidents, or when they are trying to bring someone back to life.Due to the HIPPA Regulations I was not allowed to take most of my pictures for confidential reasons.
Questions:
Has there been a Increase of patients since the recession?
No, there has not been an increase of patients we were not affected by the recession because we are able to see anyone, even if the government pays or not.
That was the only question Dr. Evans could disclose due to the HIPPA Regulations
My Day at Internship
Today was my birthday and also the first day of internship. I walked dropped off by the ambulance, and i walked through the emergency doors straight to my office where I met Ms. Claudia and Dr. Evans along with some other doctors. For the first part of my day I worked in the doctor's office. I started off with organizing dictations then Dr. Evans made a call to get me some scrubs then I was off to the Emergency floor. I saw a wide range of things from people with hurt backs to people with personal problems. I started at 12:00 and ended at 8:35. The first day was filled with excitement and there was never a dull moment. I followed Dr. Evans around, and I met a lot of different people, I was exposed to things that I couldn't have even imagined in my head. From the first day I have learned so much, from how to deal with people to what a doctor actually does while you wait to be seen. I am looking forward to the rest of the month I feel that this internship is going to effect me a lot in ways I couldn't describe.
