Internship 11

The main thing I saw this week was a CPR. Which is when a patient comes in from the ambulance and is automatically assisted with CPR. To save his life. Before the patient comes in a team of nurses with one doctor get everything ready before the patient comes in because he is between life and death matters. So the man came in and he was assisted, the team of nurses did all they could do for him but he did not make it. So my mentor and I went and told his family about the loss, it was a tough thing to do and it was very hard to watch their reaction. This was memorable because this Man was just like me a day before, he was walking around and having a good time with his family, but because of his weight and his diabetes he died from Cardiac Arrest. From being expose to this it made me just want to stay healthy and keep from becoming over weight. My highlight this week was seeing a newly born baby. This baby was the cutest thing ever, when I saw it, it just made me smile. I wish I was able to take a picture of it, but it is against the law.

  2. Dang Peavy thats a crazy story I think that if I would have had to tell the family I would have not been able to handle it

  3. Wow...Having to tell a family that their relative didn't make it would be excruciatingly hard. But on the other hand, getting to see a newborn would be a really great experience.
